New Member! 2004 Mustang. Should I tune?

Hey guys! So I bought a 2004 Mustang GT with 74,000 miles. The car is amazing. Over the time I felt like its lost power. I dont know if it has or I have gotten used to the Mustang. It has BBK 70mm throttle body, BBK cold air intake, BBK h-pipe. I recently installed an Excedy 400 stage 2 clutch with fly wheel. Today I installed Borla stingers!! They roar. Do you thing its time for a tune? or should I wait for more upgrades?

I think it's fine to get it now.

I have a similar mod to you: SR 70mm tb/plenum combo, Steeda CAI, I just got Pypes O/R H-pipe, and am looking to get them put on in the next month when I get my tuner.

I fully expect to feel a gain (nothing unrealistic) but with my set up I would expect be making somewhere in the neighborhood of about 285-300 flywheel HP, and I think a lot of that will come once the tune combines with what I have already done.

I don't think your car will run poorly without it, but you seem to be at the right point to add it (maybe add a larger plenum also).

Also will be nice for you if you plan on still doing more (gear and tire changes) or other bolts on's up to a point.

If you stick around the site for awhile, you will actually gain a discount with some of the suppliers to help you save a few bucks on the goodies.
I don't think a tune is necessary. It will obviously help you and probably gain 10peak HP (a good amount through the curve)...but again I don't think you "should" tune...you "could" tune...

Yeah, right now I am out of money for sure. I do plan on buying a tuner before summer 16. Thanks!

If you have X amount of money to blow and don't mind a 10-15 hp gain then yes. You'll know when it's "time to tune" when you add a mod that makes you're car run so lean that it smells like a gas pump.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
