I'm new to this forum and thought it would be a good place to get some feedback on buying a new ( or another ) car. It started last week week when I test drove a GT. I have not owned a performance car in quite a long time. I have owned a 65 (64 1/2) and two 66 stangs. All with 289s. But those weren't muscle, just fun. I owned a ( heaven forbid ) 1970 1/2 Z28 for a long time. I never should have sold that car, but that's another story.
Anyway, I was trying to decide on a new GT or a restored 70 Z28. Then I read, "The biggest news so far is that the Shelby Cobra GT500 will be available in Fall 2006 as a 2007 model as both a coupe and convertible. It will be powered by a supercharged 5.4L V8 making at least 475 horsepower." So I buy the the Z28 or wait:drool: 9 or 10 months.
I'm not sure I can get honest impressions in here from what I've read. And that is ok, you all own stangs.
So, for those of you who own late model stangs, what are the pros and cons? Would you do it again?
