Hi there,

I am a former owner of a 67 coupe, which belonged to my wife when we got married. Now she wants to buy another mustang. We located a 65 coupe 200 6 cyl with 3 spd over the weekend. Asking price $6500, we offered $5500, and they accepted. However, this appears to be a project car. Has been repainted and from a distance looks good. However the detail around the mouldings, etc is bad. The deck lid has been replaced. Original color of the car appears to be red, but the bottom of the lid is yellow. There appears to have been body work done to the right door and quarter panel. The driver's seat is torn, the armrest is gone, the dash needs to be replaced, and the visors are toast. Carpets are original, so they are showing wear. Any advice? Is it worth the $5500 we offered.

Blue book says yes. But if you looked around you may find one cheaper needing a little more work.
But it would help if you had pics.
