I'm about to add JBA headers to my 2005 Mustang GT, 5 spd. JBA recomends strongly that I upgrade the stock motor mounts at the same time saying the stock ones allow too much motion of the engine.

Has anyone done this? Heard of it? What is your opinion?

Yes I swapped out the factory motor mounts on both of my mustangs and do not regret it. Where the stock factory Ford motor mounts are known to be soft, by replacing them as JBA recommends, you eliminate much of the unwanted engine flex/movement under hard acceleration. JBA has a great reputation and sounds like they are giving you some sound advise.

Relplace motor mounts - reply

Thanks for your reply. I did replace the motor mounts with JBA motor mounts when I put the JBA shorty headers on. The car feels tighter and even though it cost a bit more I'm happy I did it.
You have to remove the motor mounts anyway when you put the headers on.
