New Steeda Front Brakes

they have a front brake kit, looks good, but you will need 18x9's up front, and chances are if you got the money for new brakes, then you can afford new wheels. it does look a bit pricey though. i just might get new slotted rotors and pads, if i do anything. if i had the money i'd buy it and then get new slotted ones and pads in the back, so they match.

what do you guys think

you can get the powerslot front and rear rotors and hawk pads and have a great setup and save a ton of $$ over the steeda stuff...I have this setup and have been extremely happy

I really don't think you can go wrong going with upgraded brakes but, there is really nothing wrong with the stock ones.

Even road racers are going with upgraded pads but, stock setup.

I push mine hard and can't see any weakness.

Hey sub,
I was looking at the powerslot's for the stang. There's a couple of places charging 100's more for the 4 slotted rotors. If ya don't mind me asking … where did you buy your's? Did you put on hawk pads too? I did the powerslots and hawks on my Denali … awesome!
Well if you did have the $$$ for the set up and wheels to go with it. That it
would look really sweet.

Hi-Ho SILVER,

I've found the stock brakes are pretty good actually but need a set of grippier pads and more heat capability. My solution is to fabricate a couple of brake ducts and to use a new Baer brake kit.

You get to save some money and get 14" rotors on the cheap while using your 17" OE wheels! Baer's new EratiSpeed Plus 2 kits for the front and rear of the '05GT's are released now. The stock Ford calipers are a well proven item that are just in need of better pads and a larger rotor. Enter the Eratispeed Plus 2 kit, cheap and effective using the stock calipers with upgraded pads and lightweight 2-piece 14" rotors.

The kits include a pair of new caliper mounts, all the fasteners and hardware needed to install the new caliper mounts while retaining your stock calipers installed with new high friction pads and a pair of lightweight 2 piece drilled/sloted 14" rotors. Here are real 14" brakes on the cheap giving you 99% of the actual performance of Brembo or Wilwood kits on ALL four corners for about half the cost of the other front kits alone.

Go and look here: http://baer.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/005.3.3729971007400023881

Hope this helps!
