Finally made it to the track for some friday night fun.

first pass on nitto 555 street tires was a 12.83 with a 2.076 sixty foot time on a 91 tune at 4800 feet trap speed was 111.51 crushed and Evo!

second pass was a 12.9 with a 2.199 sixty trap speed was 114.45 on a JDM street tune that produces more low end power than the brenspeed tune that I used on the first tune. I spun the wheels too much out of the hole, got beat  by another stang with giggle gas he ran a 12.62 on et streets.

third pass was the best. Ran my Brenspeed 93 tune launched with e brake at 2500 still spun the tires in 1st but ran a 12.733 with a 2.146 sixty, trap speed was 111.43 beat up on an older firebird that sounded nast but was not so fast.

Fourth run would have been good as I let the car cool down but then some guy in a Fairlane blew his motor and shut the track down for a while so I called it a night. Dude had a GT500 with the upgraded blower 625 hp, 3.73 gears and slicks and he was only running 12.8's or 13's?

Sounds like you had some fun. I would recommend some sticky tires,Mickey Thompsons drs. The guy with the shelby is not getting power to the ground, remember spinning is not winning.

I know I am really sounding exactly like him. Just good advise sticks in your head. It is easy to remember, the way he says things.Besides someone has to help out while he is gone.:hihi:

you are so right about good advice.......

now if we only can figure out how to run like him......:)
what gives you the best results with Nitto 555's at the drag strip.

Clean them off and go for it, or heat them up and then head to the line?

The stock BFG's were better if you just cleaned them off. If you heated them up they were greasy.

Anyone? bueller, bueller?
Heating up Nittos isn't going to help. You really need DRs or slicks. You're a good set of tires away from high 11s. :D
pretty good numbers for your altitude and a street tire :)

dont think I ran a 12 on my stock BFG's close if I recall.

FYI I went with the 3.0 pulley on the same tune. Got my boost to right at 10 psi. Did not need to change the 60 lbs injectors or anything. I did some data log runs for Brenspeed and everything looked good. Fuel pump duty cycle with the boost a pump was good. Car is strong! I was launching with the e brake at 2500 and "trying" to roll the throttle on but it was still spinning the tires in first with the new 3.73's.

That is what i was thinking. I was launching at a rather low rpm to keep the wheel spin as low as possible. I figure with a set of DR I could really drop the hammer from the line and get into the 11's or low 12's.

thanks for the info :) I have the 3.2 but never put it on yet. Id say you got all or most out of it with the street tires :) thats a good mph number you put up. no doubt a high 11!
what CAI setup you running? I forget. If I can run across a used set of 60's Im goin to get them. you still on the stock converter also. I didnt see much difference in my 60ft from 1000Rs to 2500Rs. i just leave around 1200. what springs you running in the rear? stock or are you lowered?

I am running the FRP 90 MAF and filter that came on the 07 Shelby GT's with a C&L racer plastic intake tube. I have the 5 speed with a spec clutch. The suspension is the FRP package that came on the car, with the exception of LCA, UPCA, and adj. panhard bars. The suspension is really setup for road racing. I am running larger wheels and tires as well. (same size as the GT500).
