Newbie, 1965 Mustang GT 289 V4 in Salem, OR
Just want to say hello! New guy here in beautiful Salem Oregon.
My sons and I are rebuilding a 1965 Mustang GT 289 V4 Coupe Caspian Blue.
The car appears to be original and complete. Looks like it has had some body work. Has been parked under a tree for the last unknown number of years. Very little rust through, but plenty of blistering paint.
We are planning to a restoration (as opposed to a racer/mod/etc). Hoping to avoid as many rookie mistakes as possible, but the hard part is that newbies don't know what they don't know. We are welcome to suggestions and will listen (won't promise to take your advise, only to listen!). Any good books, references, or on-line how to's appreciated.
