Supercharger : It's always there to do its bidding...BAM !!! You won!

NOS : Aaaaw shucks...back to slow sucky speed 'cause my bottle ran out.... Can ya all hang on while I go get some more drugs for my kar !?? Wait here, I will be right back to beat ya...

I have had NOS on two cars and currently have supercharged cars. Nothing compares to the trusting realationship a SC gives to the marriage of man and machine.

It's my opinion based on real life experience as I have lived it. :thumbsup
NOS,u keep having to refill at shops..dont know the price but it gives your car that "rocket" & strong pull feeling....ive seen cars with turbos get spanked by other cars with nos...its all about the quick start off what wins & n20 beats it....if your going on long st8 roads go Turbo & if your only doing drag racing get Nos

Yep, I would agree here... with N20 you get a very instant BANG! LOL! I was looking for something to use only at the track... and on a tight budget... so N20 fit the bill... I get my 10 pound bottle filled for $25 and I get almost 10 1/4 mile passes on a full bottle...
Or just go Kamikaze like me and go both... Never used the NOS yet but people are shocked by it cause nobody notices the big huffing Supercharger.

Anyways the centi supercharger is great!!! If you drive around under 3k rpms it never puts any load on the engine cause it has no boost yet. so that means no extra wear on your engine... But when you feel like racing some crotch rockets just lay into and no worries.

The NOS is a cheap great way and best left at the dragstrip IMO. Check your laws on it but some states I believe won't allow you to have the lines connected. You also gotta make sure you bottle is opened unless you get the remote switch. If you start adding up all the purge, bottle heater, and everything plus filling bottles and hassle. Might just go with s/c... I'm sure it's great when ready but when a ferrari pulls up next to me I will be ready to whoop his .... well you know....
I think most of would agree that if we had our choice and money was not a factor then SC is the way to go for all the reasons stated above in the other posts. I would love to have a SC. But me, I can't shell out $4K-$6K right now for a SC, someday I will, just not now. So the obvious choice for me in the meantime was N20. I bolted on 125 HP (and up to 175) in a few hours. OK, filling the bottle sucks, I admit, and if your bottle is empty when that Ferrari pulls next to you, you're SOL. BUT, if you are stocked up on N20 you have instant HP and Torque, a lot of it. I have a remote bottle opener so that's not and issue.

To me, the bottom line is your bottom line. If you have $5000 get the SC for sure. If you want to boost your HP and torque by triple digit numbers for well under $1000 then the ONLY choice you have N20. Nothing esle comes close for the $.

If money is no object then do as 2k5Stang, go with BOTH! (This is where I would insert the JEALOUS emoticon if there was one)
How about a little overKILL and get both.:happyhapp
Yeah [email protected]!!!! Do both!!!! I'd love to!!!

:drink: i agree with twenty.... i think it really depends on how many Speed $$$ you have to spend (and are willing to spend) both are excellent mods with thier pros and cons..... just two different ways to get there.... im going the NOS route j/b/c after i make my mustang payment, extra $$$ for mods is com'n up short...:sosad:
I finally got some pics, here is my supercharged / nitrous combo, know I added the nozzle to close to the throttle body but oh well... That and the wires need to be fixed lol.

If I can ever convince the wife, I'm going with a combo.

wow.. that is close... they was a guy on one of the other forums that had his nozzle really close to the TB, due to the CAI he had (that really short one....) He burned up his spark plugs... he was thinking it was because the nozzle was too close....
Yea it's close but oh well, I don't plan to actually use the Nitrous, I just had the kit laying around my house, Figure it would look better in the car then laying around my house. The instructions do say 6+ inches from the throttle body I believe, I don't remember exactly but my nitrous lines weren't long enough so I was stuck to mount it there... The cable is pretty tight sittings where it's at. When I get my new forged engine I will raise the boost to 15lbs and put some laughing gas in there too...
