Nitrous Oxide?

928 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  BlueStreak03
Well I don’t have a Mustang but I do have a 1998 Grand Marquis with a 4.6. I wanted to boost its power for those special occasions but still have a dependable daily driver. I am told that NOS gives the most horsepower for the least amount of money with few engine modifications. For those of you that have some knowledge about nitrous oxide could you tell me about how long a bottle would last? Is it true that you only get a few seconds of boost per bottle? Are refills costly? The thought of a granny car sleeper intrigues me. Thanks!

I don't have N2o but from what I hear you'll get about a half dozen passes @ 100 shot out of a ten pound bottle at $30/ bottle
That sounds about about right I get about 4 passes on a bottle with a 150 shot, then I change it but it normally has a couple pounds left in it. I dont like to run them right out, I also have a warmer to keep the pressure up and I purge on every pass. Around here its $4.50 a pound.

That bring up a good point, depends on the brand. Mines a NX wet shot
