OKAY this is related to an 08 Mustang It all started where once in awhile it wouldn't recognize my key It would think I was trying to steal my own car. I Would try some of the options I found on the internet. And eventually, It would start. I think mostly because I just wait a while and it would time out. Anyway, lo and behold, it finally quit, and would not start no matter what I tried. I have searched the Internet, read every post I could find To no avail. So here's what has Transpired.. After reading everything, I tried to get a new key made, and the guy couldn't talk to the body control module. So I started reading post about that. Found out that there's a leak that drips on top of the bcm and when I pull the original out, it had some moisture on it. And I cleaned all the connectors and fixed the leak and did everything I was supposed to. so i put a new body control module in. And it still didn't work. Which I kind figured because I thought it would need to be flashed. So I loaded it up on the rollback, and I took it into Ford. Well, Ford calls me up and says, well, we can't flash it or dump the code until all the components work, and you need to rear tire sensors. We'll go ahead and get them and put them in. We did that. No good. They then suggested to get a transducer in two new keys. Try that. No good. Then they said, Well, you main computers must not be communicating. We need to replace it. So another $900, they replaced it. And. And guess what? It didnt work. So to my understanding, we pretty much have changed all the components in the theft circuit. So Monday I'm going to talk to the mechanic and listen to some song and dance, I'm sure. So I was trying to find out some information beforehand. I mean, really, if Ford can't flash and fix your damn car, what the hell is a man supposed to do? Any information or advise or someplace for me to look, would be greatly appreciated. My boy's missing his car and I'm tired of him driving my GT, I would love to give him his little 6 cylinder back. Hell, he's almost put as many miles on it in the last three weeks than I have since I owned it. Please help me get my GT back. Thanks In advance guys.

I have no love for dealerships, it went because I dont have the tool to flash control modules. Otherwise I would have dealt with it myself. (guess I need to look into obtaining one). I have built several rods, restored others and can and will attempt about anything. But as for this anti-theft stuff still learning.

Where did you get your replacement SJB from? Was it used or rebuilt? Did the part #s match on both SJBs?
If there's a PATS issue then you should be registering an applicable code in the PCM. The PATS module is built into the PCM in the 2005-09 Mustang. The communication from the PCM to the instrument cluster is routed thru the SJB. Some models/years have a starter interrupt function in the PATS system. Only for these vehicles can a PATS issue apply if it doesn't crank and I do believe that the 2005-09 Mustang has a starter interrupt function.
The transceiver ring in the steering column could simply be the problem. That would have been much cheaper than you gambling on an SJB or the dealer gambling on a PCM. Another thing to check for is corrosion in the connectors for the SJB.
I would have your original SJB sent out to be tested and repaired by a reputable automotive module repair service. Automotive Circuit Solutions, Autoecm, Upfix, and Module Master all seem to be reliable module repair services to use from people posting about them on here and have good reviews.
Here's a chart of the PATS codes:

Your dealer is milking you for $ instead of properly diagnosing the issue. I would demand a full refund for all the labor performed thus far with no results. Talk to the GM or better yet the owner and mention how his service department can't or just won't even properly and thoroughly diagnose things before wasting your $ on parts by simply guessing. A dealer should be able to fully diagnose anything wrong with your Ford vehicle. If they can't then either they're incompetent or they're scamming you. I would call the Ford 800 number and complain to their customer service. If the dealer refuses to refund you then file a complaint with the BBB and post a deserved review on Yelp. If your pockets are deep enough get your attorney involved. It might actually only cost you a few hundred dollars. You can have him write a letter to the dealer stating intent to litigate if a full refund isn't granted.
Also, they clearly lied to you. Programming the SJB or PCM is straightforward and simple. Your tire pressure sensors or any other sensor wouldn't have any effect whatsoever on that process getting done. They also would have been able to tell if your PCM and SJB weren't communicating so them just crossing their fingers and spending $900 of your money on a PCM was total bs.
Another thing, have you looked at your PCM to see if it's new or old? PCMs for a 2008 Mustang GT are not available at the moment and are all on backorder(chip and parts shortage) so if they actually replaced it then I'd be wondering where exactly they supposedly got it from. See for yourself: Powertrain Control for 2008 Ford Mustang | TascaParts.com A new PCM will have no oxidation on it at all and it'll be nice and shiny. If they charged you for a new PCM and they didn't actually change it then that's called fraud.
