My '92 started running like crap about a week or so ago - bucking, leaning out,(my plugs looked like someone painted them white) and missing at times throughout the RPM range. Tonight it was idling as I checked it out, and it stalled. Now it won't start. I pulled the #5 plug wire, and had my neighbor crank it - no spark. Checked the coil resistance, it was within spec. So I pulled the TFI out, and tested it. Well, my book calls for "less than 2 ohms" between the Ground and Ignition Ground terminals, and for "less than 200 ohms" between the PIP and PIP In terminals. I got zero for both of these readings, but that IS less than the 2 and 200 ohms. There's no continuity between the two ground terminals, and if I'm reading the book right, there should be. I've got fuel pressure. Is the TFI bad? because if it's the Hall sender I'm just gonna replace the whole dizzy.
