Let the system break in for a week or two before you go ripping it off. The sound will change over the next few weeks.
The sound may change a little in a week or two but that raspy sound is still going to be there, it's characteristic of an X pipe.FunkyBoss said:I was hoping someone would say that. The raspy sound sounds more like a vibration from inside the car, but I will give a while and see what happens. Thanks!
--- not to worry; I'll mail you my earplugs. Don't need them in the new car; all I hear is the stereo and the sound of Civics passing me.Larry Sergent said:Forgot to mention, there will be no cats.
Ahhh, Mr. Meatball, I can't believe you would say such a thing. Are you perhaps in the kindest way possible answering my question? It's my birthday you know. You could lie to me and I'd be happy for awhile.meatball said:--- not to worry; I'll mail you my earplugs. Don't need them in the new car; all I hear is the stereo and the sound of Civics passing me.
-- wasn't intended as answer to your question; think it's all pretty subjective anyway - just don't want your wife to refuse to ride in your car anymore, and to view the result both based on your trips to work and the long trip you guys took recently. Do what you think you want and save the old parts - mix & match if necessary to come up with final solution.Larry Sergent said:Ahhh, Mr. Meatball, I can't believe you would say such a thing. HA! Knew it! Your hands will be greasy before you know it!:laughlittmeatball said:-- wasn't intended as answer to your question; think it's all pretty subjective anyway - just don't want your wife to refuse to ride in your car anymore, and to view the result both based on your trips to work and the long trip you guys took recently. Is it really your Birthday? - if so, wish you a happy one & many happy ones to come. Having passed my 57th a couple of months back it's safe to say I'm, uh, getting slightly older. But, damn, I already miss that extra 200rwhp from the red car!
