I guess it all really started with the Plymouth Prowler then the PT Cruiser.

now we have the 05 Mustangs, Chrysler is coming out with the Challenger, and Chevy has a Camaro Concept.

And now, Lamborghini shows off its Miura concept. I'm loving it. I always tell people I should have been born in the 50's so I could enjoy the muscle cars of the 60's and early 70's. Now they are coming to me instead. Who says dreams don't come true.

Actually I think Dodge can take some credit here with the 94 dodge pickup. It seems to me that it was a creative blend between a big rig look and retro. It cad an actual top of a fender instead of a verticla pancake look fender. It may have been subtle but I believe that led into the prowler concept and so on. I really dont care who started the retro look but I think is is a good idea.
I own a Dodge quad cab 4x4 with 35" tires on 2" of lift.

Don't forget the GT40 & upcoming Shelby's
I have to say the 92 Viper IMO was the first retro in the sense it was a modern version of the a/c cobra.

right now it seems that the challenger is 50/50 & 2008 looking like the earliest as an 09 model if it gets produced @ all. Demand will certainly be there & make itself heard

if they're going to start retro'ing the Italian Exotics , how about the ferrari daytona's ? Among the many multi million $$$ 50's & 60's Ferrari's.

Personally I'd also like to see a modern auburn boattail speedster

Only catch is have Kia or Hyundai build them so people can actually afford them :shiny:

PS here's a new ferrari due soon , 'only' $700K ! :eyebulge:

Do you, or anyone for that matter, have pictures of an '05/'06 with black 1/4 window scoops? I have been toying with the idea of trying that on my RedFire GT.

I think it was the old school muscle that started it off. Other companies saw how muc hthey were selling and tried to get into that market share....just like with SUVs.

That last one looks pretty good!
I agree! Thanks for the post. First time I've seen a mineral grey just clean with the ducktail and nice wheels cause thats what I got and I have wondered since I got mine if I should get the spoiler or not. I have the sp delete and like it a lot more than the factory spoiler. The look of yours is a lot different without stripes and side molding and this and that. I like it. Will have to start looking at prices.
