I am debating on x pipe or h pipe I heard x pipes are louder but raspier and H pipes were more quiet but lower in tone.

With Flowmaster Original 40's or Super 40's which ever I decide to go with on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the highest pitched, 10 being the lowest pitched.

X pipes pitch on a scale of 1-10:

H pipes pitch on a scale of 1-10:

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the quietest and 10 the loudest.

X pipes volume on a scale of 1-10

H pipes volume on a scale of 1-10

I want the deeper tone but I dont want it to sound like a y pipe set up where you cant hear it when you drive by people.

you will want cats on your 3.8l v6, kid at school has dual flow masters with no cats and an x-pipe sounds ricer than the Mexican's honda civic here... and it has likea 6 inch fart cannon.
