:?: My Gt Has 66,000 Mi, It Has Always Had A Front End Squeek That Is Steadily Getting Worse, It Sounds Like It Is Coming From Inside The Rack Boots, Is This Common On These? I Was At The Store Today And Parked Next To A V-6 Model Same As Mine, The Lady Who Owned It Was Backing Out Of Her Spot And I Heard The Same Thing With Hers, It Squeeks The Entire Time You Turn The Wheel To The Stop Either Way, But It Isnt A Typical Ford Power Steering Wine, Any Help Would Be Great, Thanks Guys.....

Some questions

Is your suspension still stock? Has the car been involved in a front end collision?

Assuming the answer to both the above questions is no, have you dones the following:

Get the car up on ramps or jackstands and have a friend operate the wheel, listening closely for the sound. You should be able to pinpoint their source.

Does that sond like rubber squeeking?

If yes, my 2000 GT as the same problem. (just does not bother me)
I assume it has somethig to do with the rubber bshings in the A-Arms, or the spring insulators on the A-Arms.
Anyways it has to do something with a part that gets stressed and is attatched in, with or around something made out of rubber...

A practical idea to approach this problem would be to spray every mooving component(joint, bushing, etc.) at the time and always test drive the car in between.
If for example it did make the noise before spraying the A-Arm rubber bushings, but not after you put some rubber conditioner on them, you know that it has to be a worn out bushing. -> Replace A-Arms.

If you find out more, please let this forum know. I did not find any information on this particular noise.

I had this same problem with my 98 V6. Take the control arms (upper and lower) off and find the one with the shot bushing. Replace it. Problem solved!
yeah, it's your bushings and shocks. Your rear will sstart in soon too....lol

Go get some silicone lube spray and spraty the crap out of the arms bushings, shock mounts and any other parts that move under there for the chasses............or get New arms and shocks with aftermarket bushings....
My 04 GT made a noise like you described.Ford replaced the rack tube bracket.Problem solved on my ride.
Both Mustangs & Cobras have the same problem. Ford has issued a TSB for the fix. My Cobra is a 04 with 33,000 miles on it. They repaired (retorqued) the front & rear bushings twice & at the 30k service they finally replaced them. so far so good. Its not a safety issue just a pain in the A$$!
I looked up my service invoice and they called it Oasis article 05-14-3.
"Replaced gear tube brackets as per TSB(Technical Service Bulletin)."
Part #E5DZ-3K620-A (2 REQUIRED)
DESCRIPTION: BRACKET P01
