Hey guys im in the process of putting x-pipes on my car but have some questions. All the shops and persons that i have spoken to tell me that i have to shut off the o2 sensors that come off the cats, so that i dont get that check engine light. but they all tell me that you have to shut it off from a programmer . I have the diablosport programmer and cannot find where to do that. So i looked around and alot of shops have the 02 simulators(make a fake signal to the plug of the cats to prevent the check engine light) but no one had on for the 2005 mustang gt. I did find this company Lm preformance and they say that there O2 simulator works for 97-05 > now the questions is this true ? i called them and they say yes. also how do i shut off the o2 sensors from the diablosport. How have you guys been doing it when you put your x-pipe in? thanks in advance guys

Find a new muffler shop, You don't have to turn the 02 sensors off... I have bassani comp cats and x-pipe and my 02's are plugged into them and I have never had a check engine light from that. If you want to I think I seen a guy on e-bay that sells the mil elminator or something, I didn't read much into it but I *THINK* those shut the 02 sensors off (I could be totally wrong and thinking of something else)

If you are running catless you either need to turn off the rear O2 sensors or use MIL eliminators in series with the O2 sensors to fool the into thinking that everything is normal.

If you are running cats you don't need to do anything other than having the O2 sensors installed.

The 05 Diablosport Predator doesn't have the capability to turn off the rear O2 sensors. I haven't asked why but since I'm running cats I really don't care.
The X-Cal II on the other hand can turn off the rear O2 sensors.
If you install Longtube Headers do you need custom exhaust from the headers back?
No, you don't have to run custom exhaust. Bassani makes a shorty x-pipe for long tubes.
I was told by a guy at Diablosport that turning the o2 sensors off was built into the tunes that are loaded from the company.

Also, you could call Brent at Brenspeed and get a MIL Eliminator from him. It was like $60 for a pair.
well thanks to all for the great comments, Its finally done. I bought the mil eliminators from L&m Preformance and i put the Upr X-pipe. Well its a little louder and what a diffrence in preformance. especially the torque. I hope i can get the car dyno tuned friday to get the most out of this, Last dyno I was able to put out 301.2 HP with 314.7 lbs since then i have done the semi slick tires in the rear and put the 4:10 gears and the x-pipe . Im hoping i can make at least a 10 hp and 10 lbs more. i would be happy with that.Well see
