It could be the EGR but you should also look at the fuel pressure too, a low pressure would cause such a hiccup. I had that problem and increased it 2-3 psi and it solved it.

Hey guy's i have has this for along time its just bugginh the crap out of me if i step on it to the floor then let of it misses or hesitates the rpms dont jump up smothe like it should seems when its cold its fine not sure if its a egr thing or what but if i goose it at some rice sound like my car is a piece you know ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but its fine if the rpms are just above 1k

oh well that maybe the problem since i have the stock reg and i have been modding it might want more fuel cuz it likes my tps over 1 volt or it has not snap
could it be a weak coil also?
