I have just recently noticed that the hose going directly to the catch can from the crank case is getting sucked in on itself when the engine is running! Should I be worried? I know how the whole system works sop I don't need a lecture (or do I?). As far as I know I should be getting positive pressure from the crank case, not suction. What gives? This is a recent development as far as I know (about 3k miles since putting it in).

Also, the tubing is sweating oil:so. At least that is what I am assuming, since there does not seem to be any other way oil would get all the way around the hose except where the nipples are on each end. So the hose is permeable... did UPR cheap out on the hose?

The line from the PCV to the throttle body is under vacuum, that is how it relieves crankcase pressure.... Sounds like your can uses some really cheap hose that is not oil or vacuum rated. It most certainly should not be sweating or collapsing, otherwise it will not ventilate the crankcase and could even cause it to build up positive pressure. Not good.

I was worried until I read that it wasn't a JLT. I couldn't pinch the hoses that came with my JLT if I tried.

If you have a UPR can the hoses suck(no pun).
The can is nice but the heater hose they send you is
not suited for oil and gas.I had a heck of a time trying to
find 5/8 fuel line (truck supply)but when I did it sollved
every thing.I must add UPR. didn't want to hear sh!t.
