Did my first oil change last week with the Boss 302 trans scoop and Fumoto oil valve on. Wasn't thrilled with the fact I had to take scoop off to change oil since the valve was put on to make things easier. So here is my quick fix today.

Note on the valve, much slower to drain but so easy.

I think that is the only situation where I might be tempted to use that valve. I never understood why people use it otherwise. You need to jack the car up and get under there anyway. Just take the bolt out...

This. And a lot less mess. I'm sure an oil change garage hate them because they take longer to drain. At home, they're wonderful.

I like the valve cause I like to drain the oil when the engine is hot. Removing a hot drain bolt is a PITA. The valve makes it so much easier. Then I let the oil drain for about 30 minutes. Enough time to enjoy a good beer and a cigar.

Lol, before I used those values on all the cars I had, I will let it get warm up... Yeah hot engine bolt metal will expand.. That's why it's a pain to take off when hot.. And I wouldn't recommend it...

I just let the oil drain onto my scoop but you know gave me my next project

Just used a step drill and rubber grommet. Worked out real well for a 15 minute project.

On a side note I wonder if I should remove for winter driving?
