Oil Pressure relief Valve

3170 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  05mystang
I have a 2005 V6, there is a problem with oil pressure, it keeps blowing the oil filter.

My guess is that it is the Oil pressure relief valve.

Does anybody know how i can replace this and where it is located in the engine?

Thank You

Lol did you really just copy and paste that from Nice Pony off the Mustang Forums?

To the OP what did the dealership say? Are you still under warranty? Check to see if there is an old gasket led stuck to the engine. It won't cause your filter to blow, but you should be using 5w-30 in these cars, not 10w-30
Ahahahaha yeah. I was waiting to see how long it would take before the OP said anything. :kooky:
Lol ok

OP, is there any visual damage to the filters you have lost?
