Oil Pressure relief Valve

I have a 2005 V6, there is a problem with oil pressure, it keeps blowing the oil filter.

My guess is that it is the Oil pressure relief valve.

Does anybody know how i can replace this and where it is located in the engine?

Thank You

It is in the oil pump on the 4.0 SOHC. You will need to drop the pan and cradle to get to it. Not a fun job at all on this engine when in the car. What brand/model oil filter are you using?
ve seen some pretty crappy filters in my time that would easily fall apart. I would personally only use a Motorcraft - FL-820-S. Most auto parts store stock them and the price is not bad. They are one of the highest rated filters on the market. Have you though about installing an oil pressure gauge to see what the actual oil pressure is?
Lol did you really just copy and paste that from Nice Pony off the Mustang Forums?
Ahahahaha yeah. I was waiting to see how long it would take before the OP said anything. :kooky:
