my car (03 gt) has 45000 miles on it i have had it about a year and as far as i know it has only had regualr motor oil in it is it ok to switch to synthetic? and what brand should i use i was thinking Royal Purple or Mobile One?

I personally say go for it. There are other schools of thought on the matter though. I use Castrol Syntec.
