so ive been building up my 347. got the bottom end from frpp preassembled. just got the motor in and all set up ready to crank over. been having timing issues and such. today i do a compression test and NOTHING. 0 compression. what could this be? my book said to crank the rockers to 10ft/lbs...but thats factory ones, i have pro magnums from comp cams. im thinkin it might be too much and its holding the valves open. anyone got some advice for me? snow has already started flying down here so i wanna get her running so i can bring her home to my garage

dan go to this website:

http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Instructions/

and go to the magnum rocker arms, those are the instructions on how to adjust the rocker arms, after doin that, do a compression test. not everyone will have the same results, as long as the numbers are pretty much over 100, and all within 10%, you should be good.

when you reset the timing, make sure the rotor isn't 180° out., and make sure the firing order is correct. You should be good to go after this....
What I did to check to see if the valves were staying open is put the compressor accessory on that blows out air and blow the air into the spark plug hole with both valves closed. It should blow back at you.
i fixed it. the rockers were too tight. i fixed everything today and it has compression. it turns over and is trying to start but wont. i got a bad ground to the block im pretty sure. the one off the firewall. raul ill call you tomorrow when i get her running.
did you get it running yet? let us know how it goes
