Ok, so my trunk space is rather limited due to lots of crap I need to carry around for school (med student practically living in the parking lot of Miami Children's), and a medium sized 10'' sub box.

Anywho, I would like to ask how ridiculous it would be to mount the N2O bottle with industrial strength velcro instead of screws?

The bottle is a 10# Zex bottle; and I have had the sub box mounted with the same velcro for 2.5 years and it does not move under the heaviest launches (Box weighs 18 lbs).

This would also allow me to pull the brackets and move the bottle easily when needed, while not allowing the bottle much play in any direction. What do you guys think? ridiculous or a decent idea?

In an accident even with the brackets it would become a projectile, and even though I love my magnaflow/hooker setup I have to drive 74 miles to school every day, the music keeps me awake, the roar of my car relaxes me and puts me to sleep:smilie

i wouldnt do it.. a full zex bottle weighs 24 lbs. plus you'll have less surface area to stick too than with your sub box.

With velcro, the way the bottle must be positioned, the first time you go around a turn it's going to roll around in the trunk.

It is mounted solid now, The sucker cant budge an inch with a 8''X16'' 16 gauge aluminum plate. I spun my car in an empty parking lot HARD about five times, measured it with a tape measure zero movement in any direction.
