On my setup, what will go first??

Title pretty much explains it. So in a short essay, i have run into an X amount of money which is substantial, i figured why not put it in the old stang'. Right now I have Mutha Thumpr Comp cams, CAI full exhaust and pulleys with a dyno tune, i will VERY soon own a 2.6L Stage 2 kenne bell, Stage 3 clutch, 47lb injectors, full exhaust which includes long tubes and catless h pipe with catbacks, Brisk Racing plugs, MSD coil pack set, 4.10 gears with alluminum flywheel, and a high flow fuel rail. I know that I'll be pushing enough horses to make me happy and probably turn RPM's fast enough for it to have it's own gravitational pull, SO what will go first. Will the transmission explode? Will the engine turn into a bomb? I do not plan on raping this car to the extreme. I barely put miles on it considering i drive it maybe once a week. But, i do plan on tracking the car maybe a couple times a month while changing things here and there.

It'll last forever if the tune is right and you don't spin the crap out of it.

Of course, you'll need good suspension (UPR!) and sticky tires to utilize all of that torque when you start taking it to the track...
I mean i do have some suspension stuff coming into the mix as well but all i listed were the performance mods. I do plan on having a full suspension as well as upper and lower control arms for the rear. and having drag radials for the street as well as slicks for the track with a different wheel setup. Anybody else wanna throw a couple pennies to that?

The weakest part of the engine are the rods, they have a tenancy to try and leave through the side of the engine block above 450 rwhp. After that, next weakest is probably the transmission input shaft. If you hook up hard at the track (good suspension setup, sticky tires, and prepped track) you risk twisting the input shaft. Forged internals and a beefed up tranny would be what I'd be researching.

If you've got the money to throw at it, then I would definately be looking at a forged rotating assembly, hardened input shaft and a one piece aluminum driveshaft. In that order and in addition to everything else you've listed.

It's fun having this kind of problem isn't it? :winks Have fun!

The motor will last about forever as long as you don’t spin it over 6K and stay under 500hp.

With drag radials/slicks is will hurt the trans at the track first and then the rear end. I wouldn’t bet on that trans lasting very long either.

What do you have a for a driveshaft, that won’t last long at the track either.

The stock engine mounts will be on the short list too.

Skip the MSD coils, they don’t make 1hp (I’ve tested them). If you want better spark get a 200A alternator.

The cams and exhaust are a waste of money until the motor is forged. You can make as much power as the motor can handle with the KB and nothing else. Put that money toward stuff that is going to break. Cams and headers aren’t going to do you any good when the car is broken.

Tell me you didn’t buy that KB yet?:nogrinner

Two logical choices I think 450rwhp for $3500 or 600rwhp for $12000+. Anything in between is illogical not that you can't do it.
Well thanks to you guys haha I just ordered the b326 Brenspeed stroker engine.. Shew I cannot wait to get the thing in!
