my 1968 fastback is about ready for paint and now the final answer about color has to be addressed. the car was originally lime gold and there are two trains of thought on this. always go back to original and it's your car , paint it whatever color you want ! it's down to lime gold or highland green. at the risk of sounding stupid , are there any opinions out there ?

I always liked that original metallic green, and it is still classy. I've never been a gold guy, and a green tint to it just looks cartoonish.

I like the deep yellow ghost, it really looked good and drew attention! I saw it at a show last month. Mine is metalic purple, I have enjoyed that too.
good luck

I'm with Veronica. I have a '67 Cougar and thought of the car in a multitude of colors. The dark green metallic is what I feel looks best (unfortunately an old friend from town here bought one that same color already- Phooey!). For a contrasting color, such as pinstripes I would suggest gold.
