Well my 84 GT had a leaky heater core, and on some of the cool summer nights heat is kinda needed. So I proceded to rip out the dash. Well it wasn't easy, lots of wiring, misc and hard to get to bolts. Then I came to the conclusion, my wiring is junk, the previous few owners butchered some of it, alot of connectors where corred or just plan rotted, alot of stuff didn't work when I first got it. Them me and my dash realized, the dash is junk, it had many cracks in it, it wasn't a color I really liked and it weighs alot. So I came up with a few ideas, first, make a custom dash and wiring, way less wiring, less troublesome and nice and simple. Nex rewire the whole car, the time it takes it to rewire will be less time than troubleshooting. Plus i'll probably put in toggle switches to turn on the ignition, accesory and a push button for the starter, and then have other toggles for electric fan, and nitrous. Here are some pics of my gutted interior and dash.
