i hope someone can help me with this one. i just got the a/c system working. useing it during the day causes the car to almost overheat. the thermostat is good. just replaced the radiator cap with a brand new one. the coolant level is good and just replaced. the cooling fan is working. when the a/c is used at night the car doesnt heat up as much. the car isn't overheating but is getting really close.

p.s. can you change the antenna cable out taking it apart at the base.

you have 2 fans, one thats the reg cooling fan and a second thats usually in front of the radiator thats for when the ac or defrost is on. Both fans need to be running when you turn the ac on. check see if both are, if not your car will over heat.

Are you sure to completely refilled the system and got all the air out? The proper technique includes running the heater to fill the heater core. I generally park up a slight hill with the cap off and squeeze the top hose once it gets up to temp. I manipulate the throttle to maybe 2500 and keep filling under load, slap the cap back on under load, and take off. Flush out your radiator if it's an old one.
