pacesetter is a good header. spend the extra $ and get them coated. :bigthumbsup

I love mine, they sound great, giving a deeper sound and noticeable gain in power, IMO I wouldn't bother with coating unless you have a show car, it's not like they only last a year or 2 without it, it's cheaper to just buy the regular ones sand them down and get high temp enamel paint to put on them, pride in yourself and your work and save you some money if you want the coating that is

I would also spend the extra coin and have them coated. It is not just for show cars but for the durability of the steel as they will rust in the first few weeks.

yea, the coating is about more than being pretty.

How long does the coating last?

the coating on my other car has been on there for about 6 years, still looks great. no rust, no flakes, still keeps the engine compartment a lot cooler. the headers on my 94 still look new. don't know how old, they were on it when i bought it 4 years ago.

Also I had a problem with an oil leak and it got all over my headers a few times and I was able to polish the oil stains off even after they got baked on.
