Part #s for the 401a shift ball and boot?

I have the standard 400A shift knob on my 2011 GT, and I'd like to change to the 401A shift ball. The boot will need changed to for this.

My dealer was having a hard time finding the part number to give me a price. Anyone else done this yet and have the nummbers for the ball and boot?

Yea, when I called the dealer, he was unsure if he had the right part, but quoted me $44 for the boot and $130+ for the ball. So, I guess that was correct.

I can't imagine paying for the labor. There are DIYs on the net for the 2010 model, which would be the same as the 2011.

Once some of the aftermarket companies start releasing black shift balls with our 6 speed pattern, that might be the best bet (combined with the $44 boot).
Does anyone know if you need a 'retaining ring' to hold up the boot on the 401A? I can't tell if the OEM shift ball has a base that holds up the boot.

If it does, than simply buying a shift ball, like those on the Epco site, won't be enough.

Also, what size is the OEM? It looks like Epco offers numerous sizes.
