Ok, help me understand. I was watching Car and Driver or something like that yesterday and they said the new VW Passat has a 3.8 liter 300+ hp. engine. How does this equate/compare to a 4.6 liter 260hp Gt? Is the 4.6 that underpowered? I cant see my Aunt Betty smoking me in my 2003 Gt on the way to Albertsons. Someone please put this into perspective for me. :sosad:

The VW engine has more power because it is probably either a 4 or 5 valve per cylinder engine. It simply breathes better and turns more rpms. But, the Passat is a tank and it probably runs 16 flat in the quarter.

The vookswagen probably would be lucky to have 250-275 ft.lbs. There's also a good chance of the vw not showing up because it won't start.
