Even gentle showers leave a puddle on the passenger side floor. There's no debris plugging anything up. I think this problem might go back to the 2005s (there's a guy on youtube showing how he replaced some small rubber plugs around the wipers area which solved the problem for him. I don't get the leak when I wash the car.

Mrs. tells me if she gets one more soaker I have to sell the car.

Do you get this leak? Have you fixed it?

Take the poll on this exciting topic...

Sorry to hear that. I went through the exact same problem 3 years back. Had to take it to the dealership. Charged me a ridiculous amount. The problem was before I bought a house my car used to be outside with trees all around. So the leaves and other debris clogged the area near the windshield wipers. Nothing that was visible outside. They said they have to remove I believe the dashboard or something to get to it to clean it up. But I think if you find a good mechanic he might get it cleaned up. If that is the problem. Avoid the dealership for sure.
Hope this helps

I saw this issue with earlier 05-09 S197's. After removing the cowl vent covers, debris was building up and clogging drains in the cowl/firewall area. I remember a rubber plug inserted in a passenger drain that clogged very easily.

Bump.

Been away so no time to address my leaky passenger side yet. Some guys have sealed up the harness under the fender cover on their 2005s. The rain goes down through the windshield cowl and down the firewall apparantly.

Any other war stories?
