I have a 2007 v6 mustang convertible and the passenger side rattles something awful. I can't place it if its the window or the door or what. Also this same side has a space between the window and the convertible top weather stripping which allows for leaks. I pulled the stripping down a little to compensate for this but I know this is a temporary fix at best. Any help is appreciated on these 2 matters! Thanks!:)

Locate the area where the rattle is coming from. On my '05, the pillar trim was not snapped in all the way and it was rubbing against the dash. Riding as passenger I found that out.
As far as the seal, your best bet is to probably replace it. get it from on of reputable online parts dealers for a discounted price (vs. local dealers which will charge full retail or twice full retail).

There's quite a few areas that can rattle, mostly in the car, but also a little under the car. You just have to find where the noises are coming from. Or as suggested crank up the stereo and dont hear it! rock.gif

There was a TSB from Ford about door and rear window alignment that may help with the window and weatherstrip problem. Also is the rattle still there with the door window all the way down? How about with the top down? My windows will make some noises if they are between all the way up and fully opened. Also the passenger side visor makes a rattle when snapped into its header clip. Also is the door window sliding up about a 1/4" when you close the door?
