i just finished doing that swap a week ago. super easy. i bought the alternator from ford, and made my own new charge wire with 4 gauge wire of the stereo/amp wire type, and some gold plated ring terminals for the connections. pa performance
www.pa-performance.com has the cable pre made if you want to go that way, but they are 60 dollars and thats kinda expensive i think. i got all my stuff at stereo shops and best buy.
if you want to collect the stuff yourself go to
www.millionbuy.com and here is the parts list.
200 amp anl fuse-1 (200 amp recommended by pa performance)
anl fuse holder-1
10-12 feet of 4 gauge or bigger wire
ring terminals for your corresponding wire size-4
heat shrink tubing- 4 pieces
for under 80 dollars, which is how much one cable from pa would have costed with shipping, i made two cables, and still have enough cable to run my amp power wire and more. (got a 100 foot spool)
