Ran my car for the first time, best run [email protected]
[email protected] 60ft.
.491 reaction time.

Little bit about the car its a stock bottom end 302, Windsor Sr. Heads, trickflow cam, 70mm turbo tuned @7 lbs..352hp 374 ft/lbs. T-5 and a 4:10 gear ( I think too much gear for a five speed turbo car) oh and I'm on slicks...looking to get into the 11's with the car

Any input on the setup is appreciated

Those gears are killing you...and the 60ft on slicks isnt so great either...knock the 60ft down to like 1.7s you will be in the mid 12's. and also sticks suck for a turbo cars AUTOs for the win....
what turbo kit is it?....
On3 kit. I wanna go to a 3.27 gear and run it couple times with it. If it still doesn't get the job done I'm going auto for sure.
3.27 is a good gear...even a 3.08 turbos love the load...I have lentech AOD before that i had an ART car c4 with the auto it just keeps building boost you dont loose it between shifts...pulls like a freight train...lol
Get your 60ft down.

Turn the boost up.
ok, a guy has a 95 gt stock 3.27 gear for cheap by me, will that fit my 92?
Yes.
Gears are difficult to DIY, probably best to have a shop install unless you have done it before.
Also some control arms will help with your 60 foot.
ok, yea im going to have a shop do it. thanks for the input!
gears like said. What exhaust is on the car? what tune if any is on it? Like said yours 60s are way off. is the car spinning like mad? Best thing I ever did for traction was a set of strange adj. front struts they work great and don't cost a pile of cash. other then good tires and you are running slicks so they should help a lot with the hook.
Can you turn up the boost or is there something limiting you to stay on low boost? Are you still running the front sway unhooking it will help with weight transfer also just dont go rolling into curves real fast with it unhooked.
We could talk about 60-foot times and I could help you with that, but with your motor/turbo combo you should be close to 120mph trap speed. There has to something else going on...
I wouldn't worry about the gear unless you are running out of RPM at the end. With a stick and a turbo, you probably need a steep gear at the start. You won't have boost until the turbo spools up.

I think you have something else wrong. Your 60ft's are like a car on street tires, and your MPH is like a 290 HP 3200 lb car.

Are you granny shifting?
It hooks up decent, they are only 8" slicks. 1st gear doesnt spool, second starts too then i have to shift, it pulls hard with full boost in 3rd-4th then i hit 5th for about the last 50ft or so in the 1/4..

5th in the 1/4 with 4.10s ???....wow you sure your not floating your valves or something.. sticks sucks for a turbo car you loose so much boost...Auto with a good stall convertor, trans brake your GONE....off the line...my car build boost so fast in in 1st pull 14 psi in all 3 gears....
cars tuned with an sct chip, single 3" exhaust. the car sits on coilovers and koni adjustables in the rear. I know i shouldnt be in 5th in the 1/4, I picked up a 3.27 gear lastnight and planning on going to a c4 in the next couple months. whats a good stahl for street/strip thinking around 2500?

What rpm are you shifting at? Should cross the line in 4th?

3000 to 3500 stall... i just swapped my c4 back to an AOD didnt really care for the c4 track use only yes!!! street strip car...without Overdrive it was horrible...
shifting at 5200, when the car was n/a i shifted about 6000 and was running the same times
Sounds to me like your turbo is not right for your 302. It is taking far too long to spool up.
At what RPM do you begin to build boost? I'm well into boost a 3k rpm and at 15 psi before 3.8k rpm (approximately - it is hard to watch the tach and boost gauge and road all at once.....) Have you checked for exhaust or boost leaks? The on3 setup can be challenging to get rid if the leaks - many people (including me) have to replace some of the vbands with higher quality to get everything sealed.
