how do you mean? so its on while your driving lights are on, lighting up the engine bay? im kind of confused

you would never see it.

now if u made a little white light for like seeing the engine in the dark sure.

just be careful if you splice into wires for the parking lights that you don't overload the fuse

If your car is like mine, there is a sensor on the passenger side of the engine bay, its most likely there to let you know if your hood is open. I bet you can tap that to get the relay to turn the underhood light on.

I had an underhood light on my T-Bird SC and it was convenient.

I am eventually going to do this with my nitrous gauge light it takes maybe 10-20 min depending on level maybe more all you need is to figure what is the power wire on the back of the lights switch. there are about 8 to choose from.

my old dodge truck has a light under the hood comes on when you open it, on a sensor, you could just add one and then put a switch on it to turn it off at shows. that is a handy light to have under there( like the trunk light)
