This was addressed early in 05, but I see no current post or Goggle listing.

Has anyone actually installed a power antenna on an S197 model Mustang?

Is there a way to connect it to the Shaker 500 wiring to activate it?

I am going to do this, but no reason to reinvent the wheel if there is someone that knows what works already.

Thanks

They make all kinds of universal power antennas. Do a google search for power antenna motor. There is an output on Pin 2 of the J1 connector on the back of the radio could be used as the remote on wire.

It has been aged since I have even seen a power antenna let alone owned one. I suspect that the reliability has to have improved but they were not very reliable back in the day. I know GM had the windshield antenna first but that was so long ago the patent must have run out by now.
