The original 1965 power steering pump is making 'winddddding' noises like if it was low on fluid, but it is full of fluid?

The fluid looks pinkish [bubbling hot]?

Any ideas of why?

as much as i love fords, the power steering pumps SUCK! try some LUCAS power steering additive, if it does not help its time for a pump.

sounds like there is still air in fluid if it is bubbly like you said. A good trick is to use a vac. pump on the resevoir to suck all the air out. put vac on top with vehicle shut off and let sit with vac for at least 30 minutes make sure level is a little over full to start then adjust later. If you cant get air out this way, then your pump is probably bad and causing internal cavitation.
