Power window switch works backwards...

OK folks here's the problem.
Since i have owned my 89 lx, the power window switch for the left front window seems to be operating backwards. To lower the window i have to push theswitch up which would normally raise the window, and to raise the window i have to push the switch down.
All other windows operate normally.
My guess was that when someone replaced the window motor, they put the electrical connector on backwards.
I had the door panel off yesterday to replace a door handle and i checked all connections to the motor and everything seems to be hooked up correctly. There were no spliced wires or anything else that looked unusual at the motor. I also checked the window switch thinking it was installed wrong but it to appeared to be connected correctly.
Does anyone esle have any ideas as to what this problem may be?
Thanks for the help..

Al

cant you just simple pop the switch out and rotate it 180 degrees so its correct?...

It appears as if all 4 switches are part of the main switch so reversing one does not appear to be an option.
Let me know if i am wrong..

Just reverse the wires to that particular switch.

I realize that i could do this but was wondering why this problem has occured with all the factory wiring intact :headscratch:

you can pull out the individual switch to rotate it 180*. Just unscrew the two screws underneath holding the wiring on to the switch assembly, and then you can gently pry each switch out. The switches are plugged in to the wiring just like a peg board.
