When I press my clutch pedal in it doesnt make the noise but when i release it, it makes like a clunking noise. I just got my car in wednesday and only has 54 miles on it should i give it more time to break in before worrying? I have never had a standard make a noise releasing and pushing clutch pedal in.

Don't worry too much about it until you actually feel something wrong. It seems to happen with some drivelines, not limited to our Mustangs although it was alarming when it was originally noticed.

It's just drivetrain lash. There are tolerances inherent in a solid rear-axle driveline that cause is to make a little clunk every time you engage it.

It's nothing to worry about; it's just a symptom of that "50 year old truck axle setup" everybody makes fun of.
