Pretty darned happy with stock exhaust note on my '12 V6 Perf Package

I mounted my new GoPro3 Black camera to a couple different spots on the car for some fun today... and after hearing what the exhaust sounds like from the back of the car, I'm pretty happy with it... more 'burble' than I realized..

Man, Ford nailed it with these cars.... I love this thing. Over 2300 miles in 3.5 weeks of driving...

I'd be willing to bet money that's not a stock exhaust had you not just told me. Never ever heard a stock mustang with this sound and i've heard quite a few...
I know... I actually crawled under the back of the car to check to see if the previous owner had upgraded the exhaust... Nope.. Ford mufflers!
Sounds great. I don't plan on changing my mufflers either. Heard a few V6 cars around here with various levels of Borlas, and they all sounded like chainsaws.

Edit: noticed that your car still has a set of stealership plate frames. I just picked up a set of these, worth every penny and look sweet:

that's a definitely a great sounding engine. I haven't heard too many of the newer V6's revved up around here
Definitely sounds like mine did stock. I liked the tone, but until you got up to about 4k RPM I thought it sounded like any other V6 you could find on the road. Since the majority of my driving is within the first 3k RPM, I had to get some Borlas to fill in the blanks in the beginning of the rev range.

All that bass you hear in the other shots is because the camera is mounted so close to the car's body. I think that first drive-by shot is the most accurate depiction of how it sounds in person unless you have your head next to the exhaust pipes.

Regardless, I love the sound of a 3.7 in the morning :bigthumbsup

Congrats on your new car!

Sounds like some of the refined exotic European sports cars. I have no plans to change my exhaust,

I decided to keep my stock muffs, too. Gonna pair them with LTs and a catted xpipe.

I spent time listening to axlebacks on AM and realized they use an auto for the "before" clips which has difference stock ABs. I really like the sound of mine stock and it saves me like $600 bucks.

I echo your sentiments..there when ya want to hear it..not when ya dont..FNGFOG:bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup
I am staying stock except for the Xpipe. To me it sounds nice.
At least the Manual has a better Exhaust not over the Automatics :bigthumbsup
It's been my impression that the exhaust note improves with mileage. I'm almost at 40K now and trust me, if I get into it the random pedestrian/onlooker will do a double take.

Actually of all the exhaust notes I've heard, LT with OR/X and stock mufflers has been the best of all worlds. See here.
I think the reason the manuals sound better is because they have no resonators that's why they "burble" more

Yeah, the manuals sound fine, but my stock auto exhaust was horrific imo. From behind the car, you could hear the engine revving under the hood more than the exhaust note coming out the back, and that's why I had to change em lol
Well that's the thing. Since I'm not planning on doing headers or any mid pipes, throwing on some different mufflers really made a huge difference for me.

stock exhaust is like nothing lol. can hardly hear it.
Some of the owners like to hear their car..some of the owners like EVERYONE to hear their car..I ll take the former...that being said I m glad everyone can enjoy thei vision of what their mustang can/should be..FNGFOG:bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup
