Back in January, I purchased my 2000 GT convertible with 109K miles on it. I've done a few minor things to it to make it a bit better in the comfort department like new seat covers, shocks and the like. Because of my crazy work schedule up to now, I hadn't been able to make any kind of worthwhile trip with it, most under 100 miles and this weekend, we did close to 500 miles, mostly highway and averaged 25.8 MPGs running at around 2000 RPMs (68-72 MPH). I'm pretty impressed with this as my 2009 Mercury Milan AWD gets about the same mileage. Not bad for a pony car, convertible with an automatic transmission. I am not regretting selling the touring bike anymore. Plus it rained most of the way back and my wife was smiling, saying "This IS better than the bike!" I see a new 5.0 in the future!
