problems after intake install

ok i am just going to list everything that is happening cuz it is driving me nuts!!! after installing my lower intake and headers on my 88 gt i have ran into some problems. my coolant level keeps dropping and i have put over 3 gallons in it doesnt drop alot and sometimes doesnt drop at all after warm up. i am getting some white smoke periodically but not out of both pipes and no sweet smell, i have yet to check the plugs to see if i am burning coolant but my oil looks fine. i used the rtv on where the gaskets meet and alot of just to make sure. any help on that would be great also my headers were a pita to install (shorties) and i have all the bolts tightened but i have what sounds like a header gasket leak but dont want to tear anything apart right yet and it was sputtering the other day possibly my plug wires melting or getting to hot from the headers. i am starting to think i might just go back to stock headers. please help put my insanity to rest!!!!!! oh and everything was fine and dandy before the intake was done...

Chances are, if the coolant is dropping but there's no leak or milky oil, it's going into the cylinders which means you need to pull the intake back off and redo the gaskets because there's a breach between the coolant ports and the intake ports.

The header gasket leak is common, but determine whether it's at the head or at the collector. Both are common for having leaks when doing a header swap.
ok well i just didnt want to pull everything apart again! i was driving it around today to make sure and the whole time it was smoking white(so embarrassing at stop lights) so that must be what it is i guess i better get to work haha thanks for the help very much!!
