got my clutch in a few weeks ago...(not installed yet..winter has just arrived) and it came with the release bearing...but someone told me it was suppose to come with a pilot bearing???

it's a centerforce dual friction....
dunno if that helps but anyone hear about this "pilot bearing?"

The "pilot bearing" is in the crankshaft. The outer sleeve interference-fit to the crank. The transmission's input shaft fits into inner sleeve of that bearing.

Clutch 'kits' (pressure plate and disc, and sometimes a release, or "throw out" bearing) do not include a pilot bearing. You have to buy one separately.

Pilot bearing

The pilot bearing may not come with the kit, but you can buy them. Very good idea to replace when the trans is out of the car. Some cars have a bushing not a bearing. If its a solid bushing, just leave it in.
