Welcome to AFM and as far as I know is you have to have someone that can unlock it or send it to SCT.
Question about Reseting a SCTX-cal 2 handheld programmer
I have a friend that reset his car back to stock so then I hear that the X-cal 2 should be good to go to use on my car without mailing it in to SCT or anything .
He said that you have to plug it in to the computer and download something online to reset the handheld for a new car .
Is this true ?

And see that is what i too also thought but my buddy says that after u set the tuner back to stock and its unlocked for another car all you have to do is plug it into your pc and download something to just reset it without mailing it in .

and if i cant i guess ill just mail it in for a reset and order a tune .

You need to download liveload3 and the Windows drivers for the SCT2 Ford from SCT.

Choose XCal 2 Ford
Choose drivers and download
2) go back to the downloads and updates
Choose Xcal2 Ford
Choose update software and then download
3) Install the drivers, install the LiveLoad3
Plug the XCal 2 in witha USB cable.
It will then read what is on the handheld and allow you to
eraseand load tunes, change serial number etc.
