:headscratch:I have a 98 mustang gt with the 4r70w Auto in it, and my question is will a 95 mustang gt auto bolt up as a replacement..? The 95 tranny has a Shift kit, and upgraded clutch plates in it, and seems like it could handle the power okay, just wandering if any computer issues would arise, while I build the old tranny if I do the swap on the 95....

You didn't indicate whether your trans was damaged or not... From reading I will assume that is the case.

You could do that swap... but you'd have to rewire all of the main connector pins on the passenger side of your car to match the older setup.

You would be better off taking some time to rebuild your current trans. The 98s have stronger gears and shafts, as well as thicker steels and a more sturdy case and housing, when compared to the 95s. The main controls are also far superior to those in the 95.
