I Have a Question When you install a top end engine kit People tell me you have to tune the car aren't they computer calibrated won't it self adjust? I have a Mustang and know little about the Validity of this, Can you fill me in. I am looking into this because I would like to buy the ford racing cobra top end kit for my car. Thx.

You dont HAVE to. But it would help to have it done. Especially if you are going to upgrade to a adjustable FPR and larger injectors, which you should if you are going to do a top end kit.

Besides all though Mustangs are computer controlled you still need to set your timing and fuel pressure to the best settings for your combo. Thats where the tune is going to help you!

The tune would get the max out of the engine as possible. You don't need it, the computer will adapt to the top half kit just fine as long as you tune the engine right. But a computer tune will get you around 15-20 hp more that's locked up inside it.
