I ordered from Mark Ostroot at Price Ford and had the car drop-shipped. I got the call yesterday (Saturday 06/26). My car has been delivered. They won't be able to prep it until Monday but that's OK because I won't be able to pick it up until Tuesday (06/29).

First, I want to say that I feel bad for all of those that ordered a long time ago and are still waiting. I feel like someone that has 'cut in line'. I think that when Ford realized that later orders were making it out sooner they should have made duplicate cars to get to the people and when they original's were fixed send them to dealers. Or maybe dealers should have taken it upon themselves to order duplicates, if they had the allocation (however that works).

When I ordered I was told that I would get it mid to late June so I am happy that it made it within that time. I'm really glad to have it for the 4th of July weekend.

So here are some pictures of my Race Red V6 Premium Convertible. These pictures are quarter size. When you zoom in you can see the dirt. I can just imagine how much better it will look when it has been cleaned. (And why is it ugly people have to get in pictures.:smilie)

This is my first time posting pictures. I hope it turns out OK.

Even though I ordered a month earlier than you, I'm sure you will be just as excited as I was when I picked up my Race Red GT convertible one week ago today. I've managed to get top down time in it every day since.

Congratulations !

Thanks... to all, uh, 2 of you. I guess no one cares about V6's. sniff, sniff. Or they are just burned out on people posting pics of their new Mustangs. But I was excited! Even though I am out of town and I haven't even seen it yet. Believe it or not this will be the best car I've ever owned. I've had to go with the family cars & mini-vans and other 'practical' vehicles.

By the way to anyone reading this. I was joking about the ugly people...they are part of my family.

I guess after I pickup the car tomorrow I'll post the pics on the "other" forum.

We are a select minority: 31 mpg, 305 hp, great looks, and some of us can go topless if we want to!

Thanks, All.

As a final update. I have now posted pictures from yesterday (when I picked it up) in the Gallery.

Old Shadow, Kona Blue would have been my second choice. I like black, too, but it's so hard to keep clean. But I've always wanted a Red convertible sports car and this one is *R*E*D*. Sometimes it seems to have an orange tint to it. But most of the time it's RED. Kind of reminds me of Ferrari Red. (I still like the 308 GTS)... but I digress...
