I, like probably all Mustang owners, love to just listen to the engine roar when I put my foot down or drag someone. But i also love to listen to music that just makes me wanna go fast...so heres my question. What songs do you like to listen to when your either driving fast in a race or alone? whatever pumps you up!

For myself i love the song "walk away" by the Nadas. (its the theme song to that SPEED network show Pinks...the one they play at the end when a guy loses his car.)

I hit the button on the XM for "the System" Good techno. except right now, it's christmas music. sigh. "Cowboy" by Kid Rock also tends to lead to hooliganism.

"The Beat" on Sirius. And no Christmas music there.
For specific songs, this is gonna sound bizarre, but for some reason "Mack the Knife" by Bobby Darin makes me wanna floor it.
Weird, huh?

My speed song used to be the "Top Gun" Danger Zone song, but I was in the Air Force at that time as well with the crotch rocket and the whole bit. But that song naturally made me drive faster for some reason.

I like to listen to the soundtrack to "Nascar 3d: The Imax Experience". There are some really good "fast driving" songs on it. If you haven't seen the movie, you should check it out. Even if you are not a big NASCAR fan, it is still good.

You can look up the cd at Amazon.com to listen to samples of the songs. Here is the track listing:

1. Boom - P.O.D.
2. Firing Line - The Allman Brothers Band
3. Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
4. Steve McQueen - Sheryl Crow
5. I Got It Bad - LeAnn Rimes
6. La Grange - Wes Cunningham
7. Hill Stomp - Robert Belfour
8. Earnhardt Remembered/Build - Eric Colvin
9. (score) - The Car/Practice
10. Counting The Days - Collective Soul
11. Youll Never Catch Me - Steve Harwell
12. Hot Wired - Thee Shams Brothers
13. Qualifying/6 AM Race - Eric Colvin
14. (score) - Day/Start Your Engines
15. Star Spangled Banner - LeAnn Rimes
16. Thunder (NASCAR Theme) - Dave Robidoux

I used to love "Bitchin' Camaro" by the Dead Milkmen years ago, but I guess I need a new song, since now I am a Ford kind of girl.
LOL! I remember that song!
Bitchin' Camaro
Bitchin' Camaro
I ran over my neighbor.

My parents drove it back from the bahamas...

You're kidding.

I must be; the Bahamas are islands.
[Or something to that effect]

Start out on a long lonely highway at about 70 MPH. Put in "Radar Love" and you'll be doing 110 by the end of the song.

Car songs

I have a Playlist on my iPod called "Car Songs". It includes:

Asleep at the Wheel--Bloodhound Gang
My Own Worst Enemy--Lit
Every Other Time--LFO
Little Deuce Coupe--Beach Boys
409--Beach Boys
Shut Down--Beach Boys
I Can't Drive 55--Sammy Hagar
What I Learned Out On The Road--Kid Rock
Bawitdaba--Kid Rock (Mentions "Wild Mustangs!" :))
Cowboy--Kid Rock
Gasoline--Kicking Harold

If I can get 7-8 more great car songs, I will post it to iTunes as a playlist, if anyone wants to download it.

I love Lenny Kravits "Where are we Running" from the Baptism CD. That was the first song I listened to when I picked up my GT.

Would love to get a CD copy of the Chris Classic mash of Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" song that Dodge used in the Charger commercials. That song kicks some butt.

hey, fast beat, no discernable lyrics, and vaguely mechanical sounds. Sounds like the soundtrack to any post-bullitt chase scene
