Has anyone had any experience with the below brackets. Looks like they relocate your caliper out a bit. Unlike the Steeda or other units you don't have to remove the axels and allows you to run the 14" GT500 rotors. Just wondering of the strength of this setup.

Very nice. But one thing I notice right away is that the brackets are aluminum. I wonder why they went with that instead of steel? I would be concerned with the strength of the bracket. Anyone have any input here? Otherwise I love it and may purchase a kit on the future.

6061 is actually an aluminum alloy, for added strength. Doesn't say which grade, but even the "weakest" should be plenty strong. Same thing that is used to make wheel spacers, etc. Aluminum is easier to machine than steel, and would be slightly lighter, which can be a plus when adding unsprung weight.

That is interesting. The only thing I would be concerned about is the potential for bolts to come loose. More bolted connections means more opportunities for something to happen. I used the GT500 brackets myself. It really isn't that a big of a deal to pull the axles. That said, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Blue Loctite should take care of that. Could always use safety wire bolts :) $125 for the set.

I just received the brackets. They look great. There is no doubt these pieces are plenty strong. The bolts are high quality and I will be using loctite. Once I paint my calipers I'm putting these on.
